The Operations Manager oversees the District’s Field, Production, and Storage Operations. This includes managing water distribution, domestic and recycled water functions, Field Service divisions, Production and Storage. They’re responsible for planning, operations, maintenance, budgeting, and personnel. Their role also involves participating in the operation and maintenance of various systems like pumping, SCADA, water quality, and recycled water distribution.

This role operates under the guidance of the Director of Operations, overseeing subordinate supervisors and employees within the Operations department. It holds accountability for ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations governing water distribution, production, storage, and distribution of water and recycled water. As a managerial role, it involves interfacing and coordinating with various departments and members of the WVWD Management Team. Students who are enrolled or interested in attending Water Utility and Water Technology courses at a certified community college or school are eligible to participate in the operations internship program. Schools within the WVWD region with qualifying programs include:
