TRANSPARENCY

Walnut Valley Water District works closely with its customers to build the highest level of public trust. The District’s Board of Directors conduct committee meetings each month plus monthly Board meetings in a public forum as set forth under the State of California’s Brown Act.

PUBLIC BOARD MEETINGS

WVWD customers are encouraged to attend the District’s Board of Directors meetings, which are generally held on the third Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m. (unless otherwise noted). All Board member and employee compensation, including salaries and benefits, are adopted by the Board of Directors in a public meeting process where customers have the opportunity to review and provide comment. All meeting agendas, background materials, and minutes are posted on the District’s website. We also encourage our customers to find us on social media @WVWDh2o. CLAIMS PROCEDURE

All persons or entities which have any claim for money or damages against the District shall follow the procedure listed below in the Claims Procedure Ordinance NO. 09-12-08. A claim must be filed first in accordance with the procedures set forth herein as a prerequisite to the filing of any lawsuit against the District.

COMPENSATION

The District’s employee Salary Schedule for fiscal year 2023-2024 was approved by the Board of Directors on June 19, 2023. The General Manager’s contract is reviewed annually by the Board of Directors. The current contract went into effect on March 1, 2024.
