NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, effective December 19, 2022, a vacancy exists in the office of Director from Election Division IV of the Board of Directors of the Walnut Valley Water District. The Board of Directors of the Walnut Valley Water District intends to appoint a person to fill this vacancy at a special meeting which will be scheduled to be held prior to February 16, 2023, at the offices of the District located at 271 South Brea Canyon Road, Walnut, California. Election Information
Walnut Valley Water District consolidates its election with the general election process conducted by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk. Voter and Candidate information in regard to the election can be found at www.lavote.net.
On November 8, 2022, a General District Election for Walnut Valley Water District (WVWD) was held in Division 2 and Division 3. A five-member Board of Directors governs the District, each representing one of five divisions. The Directors serve overlapping four-year terms. View the division map below for more information.
Service Area and Election Divisions
The District’s service area includes all of the city of Diamond Bar, portions of the cities of Industry, Pomona, Walnut, and West Covina, and the easterly section of the unincorporated area of Rowland Heights. The District has five separate election divisions, each represented by a Board member residing in, and elected by, the voters of the division. The District is located approximately 20 miles east of Los Angeles in the San Gabriel Valley, encompassing an area of approximately 29 square miles.
