Establishing Service

Service is established, in person, at the Consumer Service Department. The Consumer Service Department is open Monday though Friday, 8 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The District office's are located at:

271 S. Brea Canyon Road
Walnut, California 91789

The District requires residential consumers to furnish the following information when service is requested:Photo of customer at service counter.

  • Your name
  • Address or service location
  • Service start date
  • Your home and work telephone numbers
  • Driver’s license
  • Social Security Number
  • Whether you own or are renting the service location
    • Owner Tenant Service Affidavit
    • Proof of ownership

Sole Ownership Partnership Corporation

Generally, service activation can be scheduled for the following business day or a future business date as requested.

Applicants for service are required to pay a new consumer application administrative charge for each account activated.

Upon determining the residential applicant’s creditworthiness, the District may require a security deposit from the residential applicant. All business applicants are required to place a security deposit. The deposit will be refunded at the termination of water service, provided all charges for water or other service provided by the District have been paid. No interest will be paid on deposits.

Stop Service

Phone photo A consumer must contact the Consumer Service Department in person, by mail, or telephone to stop service. Generally service can be terminated by the following business day or a future business day if requested. The consumer must be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Account Number /Service Address
  • Consumer Name
  • Driver’s License /Social Security Number
  • Forwarding Mailing Address
  • Contact Telephone Number(s)
