Residential Programs

We'd Like to Help!
The following water conservation programs will help
you reduce the amount of water used in your home
while saving you money both now and in the future.
High Efficiency Toilet Program
In
keeping with its conservation commitment, the District conducts annual
high efficiency toilet (HET) distribution programs. These
water-saving toilets are provided at no charge to District consumers.
A HET uses a mere 1.3
gallons per flush and can save up to 35 gallons
of water per day in one household. Please contact the District
at (909) 595-7554, ext. 310, to obtain additional information regarding
this program.
High Efficiency Clothes Washer Rebate Program
Replacing
your old clothes washer with a new high-efficiency model can save
energy and lots of water. District consumers are eligible
to receive a rebate of $100 on their purchase
of a qualifying high-efficiency clothes washer. Rebates are available
on a first-come, first-served basis until the program's funds
run out. Did you know you can reserve your rebate up to 60 days
in advance!
For further information, including a list of qualifying washing machines, visit the
Three Valleys Municipal Water District web site
and click on Conservation in the left-hand column. Call (909) 621-5568, ext. 500, to request an
application. Three Valleys Municipal Water District is the Walnut Valley Water District's wholesale water agency.
Free Home Water Use Survey
This
valuable program helps consumers conserve water in their homes and
cut water costs. To perform the survey,
a District representative checks the resident's faucets, showers,
toilets, and irrigation system to identify leaks that should be
investigated. The irrigation test will also show the consumer if
the lawn is being watered properly and if the sprinkler system
is distributing water evenly on the grass, plants, and shrubs.
Please call the District at (909) 595-7554, ext. 310, to request
your survey.
